IMPORTANT.

  1. Should you have been selected for one of the Squads and will be attending an international event, apply for your PASSPORT IMMEDIATELY. You must have a passport to represent South Africa internally or externally. Bottom line is get a passport now.

  2. You can only attend the SA´s as a member of a provincial team. The SA´s is not a free for all event. Please do not select non – kickboxers or beginners for a Kickboxing event.

  3. All Ring Style fighters must undergo a general medical check – up stating that he / she may do kickboxing. This must be done by a qualified doctor at the beginning of every year. The fighter must show the letter at weigh – in stating that he / she may do kickboxing. Should this not be the case the fighter may not fight.

  4. WAKO Junior / Cadet world champs for 2010 is in Belgrade, Serbia. Start saving should you be able to go.

  5. WAKO groupings for international competitions work as follows:
    Younger Cadets10 to 12 years old
    Older Cadets13 to 15 years old
    Juniors16 to 18 years old
    Seniors19 to 45 years old
    Younger Cadets may only do semi contact
    Older Cadets may do semi and light
    Juniors and Seniors may do all styles of fighting.
