CoFi Underground MMA and K1

Gina Ifuki and Bernardo Mikixi of Panther Fighting Arts and Fitness Academy, in Parklands, took part in the CoFi Underground MMA and K1 PRO tournament held in the underground parking of the Fields Building in Pretoria. Gina, living up to his Notorius reputation in the fighting game eliminated his opponent by knockout with a knee strike, within the first minute of the first round. His opponent, a very strong fighter from JHB with his own reputation for deadly low kicks, was no match for Jino's speed and excellent conditioning. Bernardo faced a huge challenge by being drawn to fight the current Light heavy weight champion, from Natal, in the first of two elimination fights. Both fighters fought like wounded tigers and unfortunately Bernardo was caught with a flying left hook, went down and took a count. We very proud of both fighters.

Farewell Eugene

Our dear friend Eugene Paddock was killed in a car accident on the morning of 23rd January 2009. Eugene was part of the Panther family, and was well liked and respected by all. We valued him as a student, and friend and he will be missed by, all. The lesson to be learned is that death can happen, to anyone at any time, even to good people. Live your life to its fullest, and don’t put things off
