Great Day for Panther
Saturday 6 September was a great day for Panther Thai Boxing Academy, who attended a tournament hosted by Cape Town Military Martial Arts Club at Wynberg Military Base
and came away with 6 golds and 2 silver medals.
10 year old Lee Drewery Jnr fought his 1st K-1 fight and got a nasty kick to the tummy and the Ref called the fight.
Gabby "the Butterfly" Drewery(12 yrs) KO'd her opponent in the 2nd round. Big brother Keith Drewery (14 yrs) fought his toughest opponent yet and did an awesome job
going all 3 rounds and winning on points. Kyle vd Skyff (10 yrs) did a great job going 3 rounds winning on points. Irshaad Sayed who fought the only SuperAm (pro-am)
fight of the day, faced a very tough opponent but KO'd him in the 2nd round. Nabeeha Sayed (16yrs) KO'd her opponent in the 1st round! Andrew Mailer (16 yrs) went all 3
rounds and won on points! Dean Lotz finally got his 1st KO in 15 seconds - go Hot Stuff!!!!! Jason Mynhardt took on a serious tough opponent and the Ref stopped the
fight at the end of the 2nd round - you'll get him next time J!!! And last but not least Alain de la Querra won by KO in the second round.
Unfortunately Anthony Mailer didn't get a fight! Well done to all our fighters it was an awesome day with great sportsmanship amongst the fighters from all the clubs.
